HORNBY R455 RED INDUSTRIAL TANK LOCO 25550

This is the Lord Westwood style Hornby tank loco released in 1974 that has Hornby's telephone number on the side. The loco has a neat step repair on one side hardly noticable otherwise in undamaged in excellent condition. The plastic tray insert is undamaged and the box itself is also undamaged although slightly fraying around the lid edges. There are no instructions. There is a price label at one end. A very collectable industrial tank loco.

This mint example of Smokey Joe from 1989 was made in Great Britain and includes the driver and fireman figures still in the sealed pack all in period near mint Hornby packaging.

Hornby R150 BR Class B12/3 4-6-0 Loco

Hornby R150 BR Class B12/3 4-6-0 Loco 61553 and a neatly matt black repainted and renumbered version which does give the loco a very effective finish arguabbly more realistic than the original glossy finish. Loco is complete with all original detail with bright running gear, chuff chuff sound, glazing to cab windows and seperate handrails. Additiional hoses fitted to buffer beams. Loco is a good runner performing slightly better anti clockwise for some reason however this tends to be a trait of Hornby locos from the 1970's. Box includes instructions and is for an LNER B12. A unique conversion appealing to those requiring something different.

In fine undamaged condition and a good runner in lined Southern Railways olive green produced by Hornby in the 1970's. Examples of this collectable loco in the mint A condition are hard to find in an excellent B+ box without instructions.

Missing one white suspension detail on one bogie otherwise mint A undamaged checked out and a smooth runner with detailing parts in sealed packs and in mint A box with instructions. No doubt Hornby can provide a spare suspension dertail as different versions of this loco are still in production. In a Top Link box from the mid 1990's.

With an original mint A undamaged apearance having illuminated headcodes produced by Hornby in the mid to late 1970's and based on the original Triang version. The box is in excellent B+ condition. This example has had very little use and is uncommon in this fine condition. Perfect for those who require the look of a vintage Triang product on their layout.

This example (originally a green Hornby GWR model) from 1980 has been given a repaint, a BR livery and renumbered 9606 with brass number plates. Additional detailing has been added as shown in the extensive images. The overall appearance is excellent B+ with the repaint having the look of an airbrush application. The front coupler does not have the hook but this is deliberate on the part of the previous owner to tidy the appearance. A google search of BR 9606 steam loco reveals a fine picture of this loco in action. A superb and unique conversion for modellers.
