A small stain to top of front cover otherwise near mint A- unmarked uncreased origonal instructions for this uncommon 3 rail loco.
This set is the early BR example dating from about 1955 containing the gloss Duchess of Montrose loco in a set without paperwork and with a tear in tray and split corners and tape repairs to box lid otherwise with excellent B+ contents.or betetr In truth the box does not do justice to the contents with the tender having a small dent only in the side otherwise with loco and tender unmarked, coaches having a bright finish and virtually unmarked and the oval of track with 3 additional straights in a similar if not better near mint A- condition. Box and paperwork aside this is a good starter set for for those who want good looking items to operate with.
This set with the box is too heavy to ship outside the UK.
Set contains correct 1950 instructions and paperwork all unmarked in a complete tray with the lid having 4 split corners and what could be a price label tear on the front. Set comprises correct period oval of track having minor paint loss to sides, controller (transformer required), GW Park Royal Brake Van, GW open wagon, LNER open wagon (incorrect for set should be GW goods van) and GWR tank loco. The wagons have little paint loss retaing bright appearance and are excellent B+ or better. The GWR tank loco really is in excellent B+ condition possibly better with no paint loss of note and in truth is a fine example with printwork 100%. A GWR goods van in average condition with a roof repaint will be provided with this set to complete it (see slide show images to see the wagon) giving time for the new owner to seek out an appropriate wagon. An exhibitor would happily run with the contents of this set.
