Hornby Dublo GWR 0-6-2 Tank Loco 42 replica

!
This is a mint limited production replica of the Hornby Dublo GWR tank loco professionally produced in 1996 utilising a donor Dublo loco and including limited edition certificate and mint replica box. The running gear was completely renovated during production and the minor dust on the loco body suggests that this example was used for shelf display purposes by the former owner. Superb wormanship!

Hornby Dublo Ludlow Castle and 8F 2-8-0 Loco Instructions 13/261/7.5

!

A small stain to top of front cover otherwise near mint A- unmarked uncreased origonal instructions for this uncommon 3 rail loco.

Hornby Dublo BR Standard 2-6-4 Tank Loco 80059

!
The final 3 rail example of this loco with late BR totem, plastic couplers, slimmer chimney and nickel silver wheels unboxed. Structurally 100% and a good runner this loco has paint and linimg loss and the paint loss has been partly renovated whilst retaining the original Dublo printwork overall condition good B unboxed and as such would be an ideal workhouse for layout operations leaving any mint highly prized example owned on the shelf.

Hornby Dublo BR Duchess of Montrose Loco

!
A tidy unboxed example of this vintage Dublo loco structurally 100% and other than minor buffer paint loss, minor paint loss to the chimney and minor lining loss to the nameplates hard to fault with lining and printwork virtually 100%

Hornby Dublo LMS Duchess of Atholl Loco

!
With paint loss to the loco mainly to the upper areas although with little paint loss to the tender giving it a clean appearance. The tender top is buckled along one side and could probably be gently eased out. The loco has had 1 drive wheel set replaced with nickel silver coated wheels and whilst these do not pick up there is ample pick up across the rest of the loco so running is not affected. Complete nameplates and numbers always gives a loco a good appearance and sometimes compensates for paint loss that is more readily renovated. Overall condition good B unboxed

Hornby Dublo EDP12 Passenger Train Set

!

This set is the early BR example dating from about 1955 containing the gloss Duchess of Montrose loco in a set without paperwork and with a tear in tray and split corners and tape repairs to box lid otherwise with excellent B+ contents.or betetr In truth the box does not do justice to the contents with the tender having a small dent only in the side otherwise with loco and tender unmarked, coaches having a bright finish and virtually unmarked and the oval of track with 3 additional straights in a similar if not better near mint A- condition. Box and paperwork aside this is a good starter set for for those who want good looking items to operate with.

This set with the box is too heavy to ship outside the UK.

Hornby Dublo EDG7 GWR Tank Goods Train Set

!

Set contains correct 1950 instructions and paperwork all unmarked in a complete tray with the lid having 4 split corners and what could be a price label tear on the front. Set comprises correct period oval of track having minor paint loss to sides, controller (transformer required), GW Park Royal Brake Van, GW open wagon, LNER open wagon (incorrect for set should be GW goods van) and GWR tank loco. The wagons have little paint loss retaing bright appearance and are excellent B+ or better. The GWR tank loco really is in excellent B+ condition possibly better with no paint loss of note and in truth is a fine example with printwork 100%. A GWR goods van in average condition with a roof repaint will be provided with this set to complete it (see slide show images to see the wagon) giving time for the new owner to seek out an appropriate wagon. An exhibitor would happily run with the contents of this set.

GWR Class 44XX 2-6-2T Tank Loco 4407

!
Built at Wolverhampton in 1906 this loco saw service until 1953 with its last depot being Plymouth Laira. This model is an excently put together white metal kit built loco on brass chassis with Romford motor and wheels and is an excellent runner with the loco weighing in at a chunky 330g. Peco Simplex Dublo type couplings are fitted. The airbrush paint finish is showing some signs of wear along the sharp corners otherwise is very well done and the body is straight and square. Sprung buffers are fitted. There is no coal in the bunker. The kit manufacturer is unknown however this has a look of Wills Finecast about it. A good looking GWR tank loco for those who prefer metal bodies.
